Remembrance Sunday 2013
This day, Remembrance Day, was made the more poignant when the two old soldiers in our family died. They were both very reluctant to talk about the darker side of their experiences but I have a feeling they would agree with Harry Patch's assessment (see previous post) - "Thepoliticians who took us to war should have been given the guns and told to settle their differences themselves".
Royal Marine Derrick Parsons - D-Day, Walcheren and HMS Belfast
Royal Army Service Corps Driver Harry Laws - Desert Rat, Tobruk and Italy
For Derrick (dad) and Harry (father-in-law): Remembrance For their descendants: A peaceful future
