Heading East

Writing this from our bedroom at Sue and Dennis's in Nailsea. We are on our way to Laura's in Kent for our annual visit to see her school production.
The news is still dominated by the situation in Egypt. The rival fractions are still fighting and Mubarack is still clinging on to power. I think it is inconceivable that he will remain there for much longer but what or who comes next is still unknown. The West obviously wants an Egypt which is 'friendly' as does Israel. Thus far the Muslim fundamentalists do not seem to be taking the upper hand but who knows what may happen as the story continues to unfold. Of course, having a fairer system of elections might very well mean the people voting in exactly the way the West doesn't want!
I'm wondering how much money is leaving Egypt for the vaults of various Swiss banks? I'm pretty sure that the old regime is trying to extract as much out of the country as they can before they leave.
